Professional funeral live streaming (webcasting)?

Funeral live streaming, or webcasting, is the real-time upload of filmed content. In this case funeral live streaming via a private link. We will film the funeral service and use up to 4 mobile sim 4G connections or add our own satellite equipment to broadcast the funeral live.

There are a number of open video platforms that can be used by anyone for live streaming. However if recorded or copyright music is used, this can cause the stream to be blocked, due to copyright infringement. We use a professional content delivery network (CDN) to make our stream available to view over the internet via a wide range of devices (smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers). We even pay for a PRS licence, to ensure all legal requirements are reached for any professional music used.

Unlike many public video streams, funeral live streams (webcasting) are kept private, with Funeral Directors and families sharing a secure login and password pages to restrict access. These details are then shared only with invited guests to ensure that your loved one’s service remains as private as you want it to be.

An additional benefit to live streaming is that the service can be recorded at the same time. This means that if people are unavailable at the time of the service, or if they have a poor internet connection, they can watch after the funeral. The stream remains available by the link for three months.

We have been streaming funerals since 2017 and now and have many of the South West leading funeral directors using our services directly.

We continually reinvest within our business, having added a satellite internet connection to our own equipment. For a robust connection in poor reception areas. Our camera's used are approved by BBC and ITV broadcast cameras.
